A headstrong princess dad who will probably never really grows up
Hi, I'm Rem Schotsman and I live in Zutphen with my husband and child. Storyteller, social butterfly, and former Brabander; that's me in a nutshell. Life as it happens—that's what I capture: warm, a little bold, and with a true eye for people. No one has to "perform" for the camera; just being yourself is more than enough.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family or friends. That could be epic adventures, but just as easily a walk in the woods or trying out a new recipe.
When I'm not taking photos, I love enjoying music and all things Disney. Sometimes I channel my inner Avenger, but other times I'm just happily lazy (cape and all).
How I work
I don't believe in photoshoots where you spend the whole time wondering what to do with your hands. I believe in stories where afterwards you think: hey, that was actually just really fun.
My approach is simple: I adapt to you, not the other way around. Whether you're a couple waking up with wedding jitters on your big day, a family with a toddler who really isn't in the mood for photos, or someone who usually feels a bit awkward in front of the camera, I know just how to bring out the very best.
I blend into the background. I catch the look you miss. I press the shutter just when you're thinking about something else.
The result? Photos that feel like memories, not like staged shots.
